Power Window Fix

My driver-side power window was slipping when rolling down, sometimes making a rubbing or catching sound. When I would try to roll it up, it would roll up slowly about 2/3 of the way up and then would grind to a halt and I would have to help it the rest of the way up with my hand.

I read several posts here to diagnose the problem. Many people have had issues with the power window regulator/motor. I then read a post by Paralyzer drawing my attention to TSB 07-2-6 which deals with adjusting the window back into alignment. Below is his method of fixing the power window. I have added a few recommendations and pictures.

1.remove the inside door panel (KevinCowtown has a great tutorial for this here)

After removing the door panel you can temporarily re-connect the power window switches, power your vehicle, and lower the window halfway.

2.loosen(do not remove)the 2 torx T30 bolts that hold the glass to the regulator.

After lowering the window half-way you will be able to see the T30's (left one is in red circle, right one is identified by red arrow)

3. pull the glass to the back side of the door(rear track)and have a friend tighten the bolts while you hold the glass against the rear track.

4. enjoy your fixed window

I just tried this fix myself and it took about ~2 hours. Really it should not take that long but I am a complete novice when it comes to taking apart the interior of my vehicle. The window now rolls up and down smoothly. Hope this will help someone else out.
