Re-paint calipers

Hey guys....i painted my calipers last fall and the winter was really harsh on them. There are spots that have chipped off. When i re paint them this spring should i just patch up on the holes or take it off and completly re paint them

I would sand then enitre area and paint again...dont need to take the old paint off but you do want to scuff the surface to get the paint to stick. This will also help the paint to bond as an entire coat vs just patching which will likely peel again from the same spots.

What type of paint did you use? I did 3 coats of brush on Duplicolor and haven't had any problems with mine....given I have not seen any road salt, sand or snow this year in WA

I've repainted my cal. 3 or 4 times now, just tuched them up.
Sanding and squirt some brake cleaner on them to soften up the old paint worked for me.
I didnt take them off this time, just used a small brush and painted what you can see.
Looks OK wright now!
