An update. Last Friday, I got on it, downshifting at a lower speed and the problem did not happen. So, I got up to about 60, floored it and the problem did not happen. How can it fix itself unless it was bad gas?

Another note, my Global COPs came in and I got a pleasant surprise. I was trying to decide if I wanted to replace the boots at the same time and had decided not to, as I replaced thenm when I had the plugs changed. The dealer charged $100 for the boots. The Global COPs came with new boots. How can they do that? $115 including shipping for 8 COPs and 8 boots. What a deal!

Well at least you know it won't be the new COP's.

Maybe it's a deal...maybe not.
Maybe they came from China and they are substandard.
The label can say anything or anyplace and the components still come from China.

Sometimes you get a deal...sometimes you get the bull and the horn.

Glad you didn't have to endlessly swap parts to fix your problem.

2005 5.4 3V, bucking under load, I'll take sticking injector for $1000, Alex.

They don't always stick open, sometimes they'll stick closed as well.

In the ~6-7 years the 5.4 3V has been on the road, I've never had to replace an ignition coil on one. Never.

Many on here have used them with a high percentage of success. There have been a couple of reports where one failed, but at that price, you can buy a second set of eight, have lots of spares and still save money.

Quintin, if I take it in, is there any way that they can tell if it was an injector? Is there any code that my tuner would not be picking up?

There's ways to tell with a Ford IDS, using mode 6, but most other scan tools won't be able to. That, and if your dealer sucks, they're probably gonna try to stonewall you, blame it on your tuner, the fuel you bought the day before, the color shirt you're wearing, etc.

The stuck closed ones, while rare, are usually a bit harder to find.

Ok, thanks for the input.
