To all of you with 100k

Is your F-150 still running good? I'm in a Ranger now and wanting to upgrade to an f-150. My range is around 16-17k and I'm looking for a Crew Cab without 4x4 or Extended cab with 4x4.
I figure if the previous owner took care of it and didn't run it hard, 100k miles would be fine.
What do you guys think??

100K on these newer trucks isn't a problem. The other day someone posted their F150 older model with 400,000 miles on it. Obvious if the truck was beat on than wear parts will wear faster. But the motor no problem with 100K at all.

If you dont care about every little bell and whistle option you can get a clean low mileage F-150 (30-40K miles) for $16-$17K.

I have 95,000 on mine, running great. I plan on seeing how many miles I can put on her.

99087 miles as of today. Counting down the days until I hit 100000, lol. Ive gone through a transmission but thats it. I do regular maintence. Im also lifted and have 35's so that puts more strain on it.

These 04+ trucks have a lot of issues to look out for, including:

Whistling grill above 60MPH
Leaking A/C drain
Leaking 3rd brake light
sticking parking brake
cam phasers
stuck spark plugs
whistling alternator in cold
steering wheel shake
warped rotors
failed transmissions
failed window switches

I have had most of these issues in a matter of a few months (50K) and the others are discussed here almost constantly. This generation of trucks is not engineered very well at all. Now most of these problems are minor, and I haven't had it let me down on the road yet, but the sheer number of problems is unacceptable in this day and age in my opinion.

I like my truck, but would I buy another? Hard to say, folks I know with 06 and prior GMs have issues like fuel pumps and injectors leaving them stranded and various electrical gremlins.

I paid $15,500 for a 07 Supercab stx 4X2 5.4l with 33k miles. Total was about $20k after tax/lic/reg. Running great so far. I figured by 07 they had most of the the issues worked out.
