Suggested lowering kit....

When i had my 2003 shamu harley i had a 3"/5" Belltech drop kit installed. Well i wrecked my baby about 3 months ago and lost it all....so I gotta start over on my 2007 supercharged harley. I'm liking the lifted look i'm seeing all over this site but on a harley I think it'll look funky, so I gotta stick with a low mean stance. What kit does everyone suggest? I honestly wanted to as affordable as possible because the belltech kit over a year ago cost me about $1000 to install. And i know if I go too low in the back I have to change shocks. I'm leaning towards the DJM drop but that kit looks alot different than what I've seen installed usually.

You lucky dog! I have a 07 Harley as well and just installed the DJM 2/4 kit. A friend and I did it and took a good 6 hours. Woulda been shorter but the kit was missing some pieces that I had to go track down. Anyway there it is in my sig. I think its the perfect stance and love it. I went with that kit after a lot of research because by changing the LCA's you keep the stock ride and stock shocks. When you go with shorter springs the ride stiffens up. Heres the link to help with the install if you want to do it yourself.

PM me if you have any questions.

Thats the beauty of it. You don't need to buy shocks, they say to use the stock ones. As far as the kit goes its about 560 or so. I got mine from Late Model Restorations in Texas. They had good customer service, not like the other company I first went through. Just make sure you open the box when you get it and double check the parts. What they do it drop ship it from DJM to you. All the middle men just call it in.

yea what I liked about the DJM kit is that it fixes the camber issue. Stealth, never seen pics of your truck but by the sig it looks sexy. You have camber problems up front with the ground force setup?

I gotta ge into a GF dropped truck and feel the ride. I would like to know if there is a difference. Through experience, I've always found changing the control arms easier than changing springs and the ride has always been better when keeping the original length of travel in any type of suspension. But hey.. I could e wrong and technology might have caught up with me.

I also have the Eibach pro damper kit to go with the GF 9949 coil/leaf drop. The truck rides like a tuned sports car and is not harsh by any means. Perfect if you ask me.

I was just real concerned with the ride not only to keep the coft ride but because this damn trucks interior door panels squeeks enough as it is. I couldn't handle any more.

Springs, rear leafs, front and rear struts/shocks for $700 obo brand new on Ebay. Not sure how much it lowers the truck though.

It's only a 2/2 drop, but a complete kit with shocks and all. All it needs is 2" drop shackles to make a 2/4.

Thanks for letting me know that it is a 2/2 drop. I have not been able to find that information. I will say that there is not even a 1" difference in height from front to rear with the Saleen kit though.
