Lightbulb cutting into STX bumper

Has anyone ever tried to add holes for foglights in their PTM bumper? I have an STX that came without foglights. Here are my options:
* change bumper
* cut holes & add brackets
* buy a light bar & add lights
* or hide lights behind grill

thoughts?

Your truck looks clean, I would go with hide lights behind grill.

It really depends on your budget. Your truck has clean lines so if you can afford it, change the bumper. If that's to expensive, put lights behind the grill. If you have time and money and are very, very talented in that area, cut the holes yourself and fab or buy brackets, but if you make a mistake you are back to option 1. Just MHO. Good luck either way.

good point on cutting holes; I would feel really stupid if I made a mistake and had to buy a bumper anyway... I think I will do the hidden lights mod..

on to investigating this mod now......it never ends

The best way to add the fog lights will be to switch the bumper and paint to match... You wont be sorry...

maybe you could track down some PTM bumpers with fogs, then sell your stock one to fund the purchase of a new(or used) bumper

i dont know what color truck you have, but i have my bumper from my 2005 Lariat, just sitting around.

its arizona beige (gold) in color, and has the rectangle fog lights, fog lights still in bumper.

i dont use the lights or the bumper anymore just sitting in my garage....im willing to let it go really cheap. need to get rid of it.

yeah i wouldn't cut the bumper at all. the holes won't look right because the edges of the holes wouldn't be rolled and i think you would be missing some screw holes for the brackets.

Story: When I needed a black rear bumper I found one on craigslist locally. I then replaced my chrome bumper, and sold it on craigslist. Came out even. Just a thought.

This, or you could do the ever popular accident "mod".

...You know, Stealth's idea is probably better...

DO NOT cut your bumper!! I cut the upper portion to add driving lights. but I plan on getting a road armour style bumper sometime.. not worth cutting..
