In my case I do not want a light bar, and I think they look pretty good behind the grill. However your setup is nice

Idk...it's not really a cosmetic mod for me. It's more of a neccessity bc i need more light out front when i'm playin, or it would help. Plus these are cheap ones, i'd rather have them behind hte girll. And your truck looks amazing! i wouldn't put lights behind the grill on yours either. I think they really add alot to your truck!

Thanks! I was just playing devil's advocate anyway. When I had my '04 F150, I refused to modify the front of it at all, because I love the lines of the '04-'08 F150's. I searched for something that would make the front end look better and never could find anything I liked. I wouldn't put a light bar on it either, if I still had it, but the lights behind the grill is an awesome idea. I also like that grill that Hella made that had the foglights build into the grill. They're just a little expensive:

Can you even tell when you have them on? I'll just take any extra light i can get. They're were only like 18 bucks. You don't think i'd be happy with them? Remember, i just don't kno how much space is behind the grill and that's were they're going. Don't want any too big.

Does anybody know how the Hella 500's compare to the KC Slimlights (driving lights).
Hellas are Parabolic not sure what the KC slimlights are?

Slimlights have a 2 axis mount for aiming purposes, steel housing, 100 watt

Hellas not sure about the 2 axis thing and they appear to have a non-rusting platic housing.

------i replaced the stock, now i have the 700ff-8 inch round lamp, 55watt to a 80 watt bulb. i also purchased over the more expensive lights for two reasons. i still live in apartments so no garage. so if they got stolen i wasent out a lot of cash. also i bought the hellas because of the plastic housing. i wanted lights that again were some what inexpensive compared to others and the plastic housing so no rust. i wanted to run my lights year round and not have to remove them. i also didnt want to care when they were encrusted in road crap and salt form the winter. i try to be good and keep the housing armor all'ed.

Ok what the heck does "Parabolic" mean in regards to lights.
Spot light, Driving Light, Fog Light ?????

Parabolic simply refers to the reflector type.

I'll take a crack at this..Parabolic lights..as far as I know..refer to the mirrored backing that reflects the light outward in a straight more directional patern.I going to go out on a limb and say it would be like a spot light compaired to a garage shop light. The spotlight or headlight are of a parabolic design and throw the light in a more controlled direction straight ahead where a handheld garage light even if it has a mirrored backing shines it all over. The lights are curved in the rear so the light reflects forward.I thought all headlights used a parabolic mirror design to direct the light?
At least this is my interpretation.

Ok so what exactly is the difference then between 'Free Form' and 'Parabolic'
And which one could I run at night with my headlights without getting stopped.

Parabolic is more of a Spot light and Free Form is more of a Fog Light ???
