You should've waited and called them! Right now they are taking $195 off all their warranties.

I did the same thing, and right now for your's it is $1,965-$195=$1770... <-- Now that's a deal with $0 deductable PremiumCare 7yr/100k for a 08 F150 4wd.

Mine was far less because it isn't 4x4 though...
Where did you get quote?
Did it include rental car, and if so which rental car plan was it?

I was just quoted by my local dealer $1500 for 0 deductable ESP 7yr/75k with $35 a day rental car loaner plan.

Here's one to check out: http://fordwarrantys.com/
You can plug in info on your truck and figure out what it would run under various lengths and deductible. Better to see for yourself. Additionally if you get to the end of your ESP you can extend it if you like.

Yes, that is the site I am talking about... It is by Lombard Ford.

When you run your vehicle through the quote, it DOES NOT include Lombard Ford's current deal. It is just their plain-jane price without any current incentives.

I highly suggest calling them. Using that little tool on the website WILL NOT get you the right price -- only a ball park.

Besides, Jack and Mike are really nice people.

Mike even went out of his way for me to find out about the extra 4y/47k extended care, plus he waited like 10 minutes for me to get the mileage out of my truck because I was at work.

After calling them, I found out I can get a warranty for a reasonable amount.

I then went over to the dealer, and they wanted to charge me double!

Now... here's my question...

IS this http://www.fordwarrantys.com/ place real? I know I talked to a real person, but I've been scammed before through auto places trying to make a quick dollar.

According to them, they are a dealer in CT.

Has anyone dealt with them? Or can give me a recommendation... all I've got is 2 months and like 3k left on the 3/36k bumper to bumper... and I plan on getting the full Premium Care 7/100k warranty.
There is no reasonable amount, Ford sucked me into a $1900.00 extended warranty, never needed a nickel of it. FS

Thanks I had already tried both of the sites mentioned.. I just wasn't coming up in the same ball park, ManualF150 was quoting..

BTW.. does anyone know if the more than 12month old ~$150 adder is for real? I've been told by some dealers in past that its a BS charge.. meaning dealer doesn't have to charge for it even though some dealers will say they must.

Past experience having purchased ESP prem for 11 vehicles over past 15 years. Ford has made money off me.. but I don't like big surprises.

BEWARE.... make sure who ever you purchase your ESP from registers it with Ford immediately. Some dealers will not register the warranty until you have warranty work done, in hopes of pocketing the money. Then they will tell you they have no record of you purchasing the ESP warranty and ask that you provide copy of contract and canceled check.
I've personally have had this problem not once but 3 different times. Plus Ford will not provide assistance in forcing dealer to register ESP even though you have signed ESP contact. Ford makes the customer have to fight with the dealer to get them to register the warranty..

I don't know about you... but they processed it today and I verified with Ford directly that I had the coverage, plus it said so right on my truck's My Ford page.

I've never heard of a ~$150 adder... there is no difference if the truck is 1 day old or has 35,000 miles and 1 month left on 3y/36k B2B warranty. In fact, IIRC that is illegal.

Also, there are a zillion ways to get a cheap Ford ESP... just do some calling around to a bunch of Ford dealers until you find one that is going to work WITH you and not against you.

If they are a GENUINE Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury (or any in between) dealer, you can legitimately get a Ford ESP.

In my cases where dealer didn't register the warranties, they had happened back in 2000-2005 time frame.. I wasn't even aware of My Ford. com existing then. What I learned to do after that was to wait a couple of weeks and then call another dealer's service dept to have them check the VIN to see if ESP had been added yet.

If you check the 2 sites that were mentioned in this thread you'll find both ask if the vehicle is 12 months or less or over 12 months. Depending on your answer the quote will vary $100- $150 depending on the vehicle.

I agree. In past I used to save up until I had a couple of vehicles to buy ESPs for and then call around. Usually its the finance dept in most dealerships that peddle the ESP.

How can I verify my ESP purchase was processed?

I just got off the phone with Mike. I am going to cancel the 7 yr/100k Premium Care warranty (it will cost me $75) I purchased from the dealer when I bought the truck and purchase the same warranty from Lombard Ford.

My savings:

$2110 (original dealer price)
-$75 (cancellation fee)
-$1195 (Lombard Ford price with $185 discount available until Dec 11th)

$840 in savings (WOO HOOO - more mods for the truck)

I recommend calling them if you're interested in a warranty.

Calling them is the best way...

You can also negotiate.

Also, shotgunz, you could've mentioned my name and probably got more off.

I'm really happy to be saving money, especially with Christmas around the corner.

Thanks a bunch for the information. I sincerely appreciate it.

Thanks for the tip Manual. I called to check, and my plan was registered with a $100 deductable, and I paid for $50. Looks like the dealer did make a mistake. Funny how that works. Without double checking I would have found that out years later.
