My dad has a 05 5.4. Made on 07/05.

Pass wheel bearing early on (wasn't mudded or in deep water yet)
4wd actuator, grinding noise.
All power window buttons
Drivers front window motor
short found for powerwindows.
TSB-Hose for AC condensation draining onto pass. floor

So pretty muchly small stuff. Truck gets mudded, pulls stuck tractors and trucks out of the mud, etc. Has held up great.

I got an 05 XL Scap brand new with 235 miles on it and now have 40300 the only things I have had done are

Changed one stuck Injector (under warrenty) at 20000 I think it was
New brake pads at 30000 Rotors are still good no warping.
the vacuum hose (recall)
Realigned 1 back door

Been a good truck for me, I have no reservations
I would buy one again no reservations
all though I would go diesel

04 SCab

My 04 Scab 4.6 2wd has 130k KM
under warranty
Package tray rattle fixed
Rear passenger door closing problem solved by dealer removing door bumpers oh well it closes now.

K&N filter at about 10K gets cleaned about once a year
Off warranty
- Rear axle seals ,bearings and brake pads- Just off warranty
- 2 sets of tires Hancook and GoodYear both lasted well under proclaimed life expectancy now on Yokohamas
2 or 3 windshields 1 lasted one week before another rock took it
- door latch switch sticking froze the original battery Carry WD 40 now
new rad fluid and tranny filter and fluid at 120k
MAF Sensor cleaned 130K
throttle body needs cleaning or replacing at 130k

It pees me off when it has electrical problems like now but all in all it has been a pretty good vehicle. I get anywhere from 800-1200 km per tank. It has been pretty reliable for the most part.

wonder what i have to look foward to.

So far right at 36K miles 2006 XLT 5.4

New tires and new pads all around is the only major cost as far as maintaining the truck goes.

As far as I know, the truck was drove easyl for the 20K before I got it, and the 16K I put on it has been 90-95% highway at 55-65.

I am the original owner of my 2004 F150 FX4 reg cab flare side. Satisfied customer after 6 years of ownership and 48,000 miles so far.

Never had a problem, have only had to replace the battery. I get it serviced at the Ford dealer every 3,000 miles. Had fuel filter replaced, air filter replaced, and transmission fluid flushed at 30k.

Original tires still look good too.

Very happy with this truck, and average 16mpg.
