It would be a bit louder... magnaflow's si/do rom quietest to loudest are 22", 18" , and 14" . You could prolly get a 3" inlet and a 2.5" outlet si/so 11" body magnaflow and they put a y-pipe on it and run the duals (essentially the same thing). It would prolly be a bit louder but Im not sure how much. You could always get the 12198 and had hi flows if you wanted more growl... I plan on doing that in four years as a college graduation present to myself

But yeah that's a good idea too....have to see what good shops quote me on and I may throw in the highflow cats as well.

One more question, any idea if this is louder than the sido behind passenger rear exit exhaust kit available from Magnaflow? Just curious if it will be louder or quieter than that kit

There are much better kits than Gibsons, and custom jobs are better than those.

true i was wondering if would be louder than the dual exhaust kit from magnaflow for our bodystyle that exits behind the passenger wheel since that had been my first choice...... i'm just trying to figure out whether the custom magnaflow will be louder than that and alot more money than the kit, because i can probably get the kit for $400 or so shipped....hmm

youtube the magnaflow 18" on an f150 and then the 14" magnaflow... the best representation of my exhuast 14" si/do is Darrens after install video, it is just a tad quieter than that when he has his stcok cats in place during that vid.

so how about two of those? LoL True Duals.....a shop said I could do that and it would be a good idea since I'm already having it all custom done.....He said it may sound too loud like a glasspack.....what do you all think? I don't want to go with 18s which may be quieter

You could go with true dual 14" maggies. Darren did true dual 11" maggies so his after install vid would be a hair louder than the true dual 14" maggies. If you go the true dual route, I would go with 2.25 piping for better low end or 2.5" piping for high end power. It's your choice, but I think i would choose the 2.25 so you gain some low end power.

that sounds great! I think i'll stick to the 14" since the 11" don't seem much louder than I expected when I think of that...I think of a loud GT 4.6 mustang which I like....so 14" will be just alittle under it and when I wot it'll sound even better I wonder if I can x or h pipe.....h pipe will probably give it a deeper sound too
