efan question

hey I have been reading the great results from people and their efan kits. I am wondering on how the efan kits affect a vehicles warranty. I have the extended powertrain warranty on my 05 until jan 2010 and dont want to do the efans if im gonna get hasseled by the dealer if I need warranty work done. So if anyone could let me know that would be great as well. Thanks

dont wast your time and money on efans i bought a set of flexalite fans hopeing for better fuel economy. boy was i wrong i didnt notice a thing with them all they did for me was almost get me stranded when the contoler decided to melt down while i was driving in town and noticed that my truck was running hot about 230 degrees when i pulled into the drive and to my horror i found a pile of burnt plastic where the controler use to be. luckly it didnt start a fire and the sad part is that the fuse that came with them didnt blow

where did you mount your controller? I have the FAL 270 and can't imagine the controller would take such damage unless it itself caused a fire

I have the fal 270 also i had it mounted between the fans like the instructions said. Altho i did read that some had problems with them mounted there and some didnt. Did you notice any improvment on fuel mileage

yea I have been tryin to read up on everyones experiences and it seems they have mixed reviews on efans. I think it seems to be better to go with the underdrive pulleys that troyer offers. Claims to get up to 15rwhp. But im not sure about my warranty tho, would the dealer hassel me?
