? about my billet grilles

what do ya'll think about powder coating my upper and lower billet grilles black chrome? and im trying to find a set of fx2 headlights also if anyone knows anybody wanting to get rid of a set

I think that would look good. I like "the look" of billet grilles..... The only reason I'd never buy one, is that if you look at one wrong.... or breathe on it too hard, you will bend one of the bars

That's another one of those things that I can't help but look for, every time I pass a truck with a billet grille, and as it turns out, about 9 out of 10, have at least 1 or 2 wavy bars.

But then hey, a bent bar might not be as noticeable on a black billet grille.

Fish- I have a Carriage Works billet in My '04 and it doesn't bend like that at all. I had a Stull in the '99 and that's not near as strong. I put a HD in the '02 and loved it (naturally it's not aluminum, rather chromed plastic since it's factory Ford) and did quite a bit of research when I bought the grille for the '04. I think Carriage Works is the best there is, I only wish they had the big bar out when I bought mine, I love that. If you look at the way a CW is built, you'll understand why they're strong.
