biggest tire i can fit..

I have a '04 FX4 with stock wheels and I am getting a 2.5" leveling kit since I am about to get new tires and I want to fit bigger ones. Whats the biggest I can fit. I was thinking 285/70/17??

I think the Wheel and Tire section might be able to help you more, seeing as they specialize in that area.

You can fit a 35" tire on stock wheel or a wheel that is 8" wide with atleast 5.5" of backspacing otherwise you can go with a 33" tire no problem.
