FNG here....SCREWed '07 FX4

Hey guys...new guy here. Just thought I'd join up after browsing the forum for a month or so. Must say this is a real nice forum and I've been on quite a few. Got rid of a '69 Mustang, a 350Z, and an '05 Taurus and got me an '07 FX4 Screw. Love the truck so far. Bought it with 20K on the odo in mint condition. Options it has right now are painted handles, mirrors, bumpers, and grill, blacked out headlights (I'm guessing someone added the Harley ones b/c they look factory), black leather interior, etc.

I'm trying to control my mod addiction as my Z was heavily modded as was my Mustang but I do want to throw on some 33" A/T's with some 18X9 Addicts (black). A 2.5 level in front and a 1" block in the rear. Probably do the CAI diy mod (the one where you piece it together yourself) and also maybe a tune. Need to tint the front windows and tint the tails also.

Anyways....I'll post some pics of what I got rid of and what I have now. Look fwd. to using this site quite a bit. Oh my name stems from my profession as a federal LE officer and my other hobby of guns....hehe. So if anyone wants to talk guns...feel free to PM me. I'm a strong supporter for the 2nd and the right to carry also.

Thank you. It's freakin awesome to be able to not have to worry about running into potholes or dips in the road where my underbody and wheels would suffer on the Z. I loveeeee this truck. I don't think I'll ever own a car again. ANd I'm continually amazed at how much room the truck has on the inside!!

Those headlights and all the other nice addon's are all part of the luxury package, which is what you've got. Nice truck.

Nice ride! Some tint, tires, wheels, and a leveling kit will really set if off.

Those headlights are probably the FX2 headlights which are painted DSG (dark shadow gray) and come standard on some FX4's. Since you have a painted grille, painted mirror caps, painted door handles, and FX2 headlights I would say the truck you picked up had the luxury package. Does it have auto climate controls or does it have the standard A/C *****? That would tell you if it has the luxury package or not.

Hey thanks for the info. It does have the auto ac controls so I guess it's part of the luxury package. I know the truck came from Cali originally (going by the original window sticker) and somehow made it's way to NW Indiana lol. Just wish there were more offroading places around here in suburbia Indiana. Need to get down to my parents farm in Central Illinois to do some trailing on their land. I am about 20 minutes however from Lake Michigan and all the beloved sand dunes so maybe I can do some pre-running type activities around there.

ETA: the only thing it doesn't have which I wish it had is a hitch. Oh well, I don't have anything to pull yet but the g/f (getting ready to pop the question to her lol) has mentioned she'd like a smaller boat to take the kids (hers) skiing and tubing.....not sure how I feel about a money pit such as a boat but we'll see.

A few other dead give aways are the steering wheel controls for the radio, dual power heated seats, and fold down armrest in the backseat of the screws. They were also part of the luxury package.

Add your VIN # to the end of this link and you can get a .pdf file of your window sticker.

http://services.forddirect.fordvehic...icker.pdf?vin=

Then you will know exactly what your truck was built with, and how much it was.

That link only goes back 3 years so 04-05 guys are outta luck.
