Cool 5.4L PCV Valve Location

I am new to the forum. Can anyone tell me where to find the pvc valve on an 05 F150 5.4L? I purchased one at the auto store, but for the life of me cannot find it on either side of the engine.

Thanks dkstoneo5, I'll take another look see. I do remember taking this hose off, and out came something that I'd never seen before. Come to find out, it was the valve heater. I'm guessing, the pcv valve is connected at the top of this heater?

Still looking for the valve

My replacement part

The part that I thought it was.
Hey all I have a 2004 with the 5.4 liter 3 valve engine. I too am trying to find the PCV valve. I found the black hose on the driver side valve cover and follow that to the instrument that's on the intake manifold to the left of the throttle body. But I opened both sides of that hose up and don't see anything that looks like the valve that I bought as a replacement. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Return the PCV valve assembly you bought. The PCV is not a serviceable part on your 2004 5.4 3V engine. It is built into the drivers side valve cover and is permanent. No service is required for this PCV system. Should it malfunction, you replace the entire valve cover- about $180.00.

Well, seeing as how Amazon doesn't have a face to slap, I'll give myself a lashing with a wet noodle for continuing to trust that site's advice. They're really bad. I did, however, confirm on Rockauto that similar valves are recommended for my year, make, model, engine combo. What gives with that?! :-/
