rear u joint

I was driving down the street tonight and I hammered on my truck real hard and when it shifted gears the next thing I know there's the driveshaft beating the under side of my truck i looked under the truck theres drive shaft laying on the ground and where the drive shaft mounts to the yoke the yoke broke so what will i need to fix this i know it will need a new yoke what about the drive shaft will i be able to pull the u joint and put a new one in or will i need a new drive shaft i have a supercrew so it a two piece drive shaft thanks and do i fell like a dumb A$$ let me know thanks

I'm pretty sure on the drive shaft there is a sticker that says scrap if dropped... You might want to call these guys http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/ I have a drive shaft from them its good to 1000hp

So the drive shaft and yoke are 1 piece not like the older trucks where u can change the ujoint?

I understand that but will a new drive come with the part that bolt to the axel?

if I was able to find a used drive shaft would u use it or get a new one?

I have one and its a one piece, my truck is crew cab 4x4 since I got a after market one, I have a new stock one from ford and its just sitting at my house

Can I use a one piece if I have a two piece? MÝ truck is a super crew short bed

Well never mind the drive shaft wouldn't be the same cause ur truck has a transfer cause so that why u have a one piece

I dont think it would work but I'll take a measurement if you want. I know one from ford is close to $500 and a quality aftermarket one is about $400.

Well I was looking at that website u sent me and they said a ford two piece was 800 and there drive shaft was 675 ill call around tomarrow

Mine is a one piece shaft. Ford is crazy to charge that much
