Ok, this is my first truck and I love it. Have been wanting to get it dirty ever since I had it. I've had my eye on this "spot" for quite some time and since we got a butt load of rain I figured I'd give it a try. However, I broke cardinal rule #1 and went off road by myself,,,,and at night,,,and with the wife. Not a good combination.

So, the area is mostly sugar sand and normally it's darn soft. There is this dug out spot that I think is supposed to be a retention pond and it has been dry,,until this week. Well, it's about 12am, click into 4H and head off road. The plan was to just buzz through real quick, hit the hole and climb back out the other side. As I enter the hole I knew I shoulda gone just a tick faster and about half way across truck didn't go any further. Called my friend (he knew where I was headed on the way home and told me not to go) and he says "you stuck?" I reply "I think so." Well figured what the heck I'll try 4L and see what happens. Rock back once throw it and drive and she climbs right out. The pics don't look like much,,the water was pretty clean and it was sugar sand. Only problem is,,when spinning in reverse in 4H w/drivers side window down,,you guessed it,,,dirty interior. Wife was way pizzed, son was crying cause he thought we were really stuck. I was just laughing the whole time and having a blast.

Negative, that's how it looked right when I got home. I think it's from what I mentioned earlier, clean water and pretty much white sugar sand.

Its great what a little momentum can do, when you start to feel her making it out it can be a rush.

sounds fun, haha yeah one time i had a load of small tree limbs in the bed of my truck and i was too lazy to unload them so i tried to just stomp it. i had my window down and the grass was wet so it through big clods of dirt all on my dash it sucked.

also a little tip for riding through mud, rock the steering wheel back and forth while moving and it'll help a lot. im surprised you could get it into lo while in the mud, it always seems i have to roll like 20 yards to get it to shift from Hi to Lo.

You should invest in some aggressive Mud Terrain tires with some nice sidelugs. It'll make a huge difference in the slick stuff.
