Is there something that outlines the differences between trims? FX4/XLT/Lariat etc

The instrument cluster and climate controls are also different. I have a Lariat with the Roush Sport package (2WD of course) and love it.

It really boils down to whether or not you want or need 4WD. If you don't live in nasty weather and never plan on going offroad, 4WD will be an absolute boat anchor for what you need. Otherwise, don't make it painful for yourself: get the 4WD if you expect any kind of winter.

Well you just have to check what options the 4x4 lariat has and compare it to what the fx4 has. Not all lariats have 3.73s and skid plates. Mine does.

That truck looks kinda familiar. LOL!

That's a great deal on a Lariat. And it's absolutely primed for a Roush package because you would have the wheels and interior color already.

The 07-up lariat chrome package got you chrome skull caps and black plastic handle buckets w/chrome pull straps.
the Limiteds had body colored skull caps

Lariat Chrome Package also got you the Ford version of the ROUSH grill and the chrome exhuast tip too

and I think on the late 06s the 07 and 08 KRs they started getting body colored skull caps , door and tailgate handles

If you don't need 4x4 go for it! That's an excellent deal for what you are getting. A $90 Roush grille alone will turn this:

into this:

There are lots of goodies Roush sells to complement black Screws.

It will work fine until you get stuck.

But I wouldn't go mudding in a truck that nice. That's what cheap 80's Jeeps are for.

I was just looking at the truck your looking at, I say go for it. It's a decent price for the mileage and for what it is. I see it has the 40/20/40 seats, if you want put in an XLT console in place of the center 20 seat, there is only 4 bolts and about 5 minutes to change it. Here is my old one after I painted it to match the FX4 interior colors, which is the same colors as the lariats with the black leather.

The leather lariat console lid is a direct bolt on to the XLT console, part # 5L3Z-1506024-AAC

BTW the center 20 seat from a lariat in black leather is worth some serious coin on ebay, 99% of them are in grey cloth, a factory leather one is rare and valuable.

All lariats had standard power heated mirrors and standard rear window defrost, and standard 5.4 v-8. Lariats came with chrome bumpers, chrome grill surround, smooth painted fender flares and beige or black honeycomb grill. Two tone paint is available in beige only, only the bright red and blue lariats get mandatory two-tone paint, all other colors, it's optional. Lariats only came in scabs w/5.5' or 6.5 bed and screws w/5.5' or 6.5' bed. In 04 only a regular cab 8' bed lariat could be had but they are VERY rare. Wheels were standard 18" or optional 20's and all configuations could be had in 2wd or 4x4. 4x4's got ESOF standard.
you think you could find a picture of that? i want to see one
