Eff One Fifty's:"Rollin on 40's" thread!

Alright tommorrow im going to be installing my body lift and getting the 40's on the truck! im very excited and i will take plenty of pictures!

Heres a teaser picture, the truck is at 8" of suspension lift, NO BODY LIFT IN THIS PICTURE. with the 40X150.5XR22's on it. (CELL PHONE PICTURE)

Ill be back on here in the morning, then i will be gone for the day doing it, the next time ill be home is when the truck is finished! I will have tons of pictures aswell, it seems to me like the guys with 40's on this forums never post, and never have any good pictures. i hope to change this!

I was hoping to have my new drilled and slotted rotors by this weekend but it looks like i wont be getting them till next week! so next week expect more pictures then too!

Let me edit this and say this like i did in my last thread, if you have anyhting to say about how dumb it is to run 40's on IFS suspension, how my ball joints will be shot or anything pertaining to how i might hurt something on my truck, just leave it out of this thread, i know how my truck works and how to maintain it take care of it or fix it. so no need for any of those posts, THANKS!

You going to put a solid axle up front soon? Built transmission with 5.30 gears?

Can't wait to see how things turn out.

It sounds like you know what you want from your truck, and are willing to do what it takes to achieve that. I don't think anyone can knock you for that.

Damn dude you should just run the 40s with your 8" lift if you never take it offroad. It doesn't look like they would rub that bad

Yeah, it'll rub. My 38s took some very minor trimming but they took a little. Now it rubs zero, but that's with a 10" lift. The 40s on a 8" wouldn't work and it would look too stuffed IMO.

Dude you're truck is going to look like ANIMAL's back when he was around. He ran 40s with the Fabtech dirtlogic and a 3" body. Look fwd to seeing it!

And yall who say you need a solid axle... C'mon. I've had zero issue (knock on wood) and I offroad my truck once in a while. 40s arn't that much bigger. I have a buddy with 40s on his 2005 with a 12" rize and he's had zero issues. If you don't know how to drive and you start getting wheel hop climbing a hill yeah you could break something... But he won't have any issues.

Normally I would have different opinions on something like this, but since you plan to just use it as a show truck and never use 4x4 I think it might work out for you.

Good luck with it. Might as well have gone with 42" KM2s though, then you'd REALLY be different!

What kind of tire are they? Quite a far cry from that black ranger about a year ago isn't it?
