Traded in the truck

Well the huge payment and economy (both fuel and business) have got to my wallet. I traded her in for a Honda Accord. I know, I know, but its really nice and fits my new budget.

The good news is that I tried last year and got a trade in value at 16,000! and now I got the dealer to give me 19,000. Huge difference a year makes.

Well I guess goodbye for now, but I know once I get some more dough rollin in, i'll be back in new F-150.

Traded Vehicles

Sounds like you've made a sound economic decision that matches your needs. As someone with a business I understand making decisions that others may not understand but it is important you do what's right for you. I realize the comment on hauling is a joke but don't overlook the obvious solutions to temporary situations. No truck and need one for a day - rent one. I and many others have done just that when the situation demand.

I've changed alot of things over the years and looking back, it turned out for the best in the long run. Hardest thing has always been to decide to make the change in the first place, and you've already accomplished that.

When the economy turns around, I'm sure you'll have what you want. Good luck and hoping everything turns out for the best.

Paul

Im currently working up a deal with a Mazda dealership at the moment. If they gave me 18-19 on trade then I will be out of her this weekend.

It is sad thou I do love my truck, just the economy here is rotten to the core and not getting any better. My wife just had to take a job paying 8$ less an hour than what she should be making, because there was 1 position ava. and 30 ppl wanting it. That sucks!

Yeah I really like the newer body style, but I had to lower my payment so its an 04.

And really, I was crying on the inside the day I walked away.

Your truck was really nice -- it must have hurt to trade her in. Being a grown-up really sucks sometimes.......

Living in Alaska, I would not be trading in a truck, however only you know what decision is best for your situation!.....You will be back someday!
