HELP!! Truck Falling Apart

Ok, It isnt completely falling apart but:

I have an 04 Extended Cab FX4. And lately, I cant go down a semi rough road without everything, mainly the door panels or something rattling! Is there anything I can do, besides screwing woodscrews everywhere to fix this?

Also, I lost my plastic tailgate cap somewhere and one of the caps for the running boards. Does anyone know where I can find just the caps?

My truck was one of the first 04 trucks produced and it has been a badass, no major work has had to be done. I dont want to buy a new one cause I still dont like them and they are expensive. So, needless to say I have many plans to update my truck. Thanks for any suggestions!

wear and tear my friend. nothing stays perfect forever. just get the little things fixed and continue to enjoy your beautiful truck!

mine was one of the first as well, built in September of '03. It's been a rock solid truck from day one. must have been built on a tuesday.

Some shocks and front end work might help. How many miles on it?

Yes mine was also built in 9/03. It has 103700 miles right now and the only thing its been in the shop for is a electronic control module or something. Well Im going to spend the rest of the day removing panels and tightening everything.

Im thinking maybee a junk yard to get that tail gate cap, but if anyone wants to get rid of thiers, keep me in mind.

JB Weld, and new plastic retainers (for the door panels). You could also use sound deadening mats for the door panels.

I too have an 04 SCAB FX4, and my rear doors occasionally squeak going over rough roads. However, I've found that sometimes that has to do with me not closing the rear doors very tight. I've pulled over a couple of times, re-closed the back doors pretty hard and the squeaking went away....

This also happens a lot in cold weather, maybe old seals expanding & contracting over the last 5 years have started to show their age

I lost my tailgate plastic piece as well. I got it for less than $40 shipped from Tasca.

holy shnikies dude you're awesome. i found it, hopefully the 05 model tailgate is the same as the 04. Thanks.

yeah i noticed if the doors arent shut right its worse. Im thinking though that the hasps that close the door might be out of alignment. I shake the hell out of the doors and no rattles. We'll see. Thanks again guys for the help.

I dont know what that means i just wanted to use it.

Oh and new mods are on the way!
Cold air intake
Borla Exhaust
Edge Programmer
Pioneer Nav Screen - The one thats featured.
I know its taken me long enough but what the hell.

WooHoo!

Hey Everyone, first off got my pics back up, not sure what happened. So I took my rear door panels off cause I noticed thats where most the rattles were coming from. I took a flash light and looked inside and found out that the sound dampening panels had fallen off in pieces and were rattling up against the door! So I removed all the debris and its pretty quiet again. Thanks for all the suggestions! Nanner time
