help with vibration
At random times my truck will shake a bit like the alignment is off and it gets worse when i apply the brake. like i said it is completely random, no specific speed, no specific times. it usually only does it for a few miles. only thing i can think is a faulty caliper??? i just dont know. thanks in advance.
Alignment will not cause a vibration only steering wheel off/tire ware
Do you feel it throught the steering wheel or brake pedal? Sounds to me like a warped rotor/caliper pin hanging up causing uneven brake pad pressure.
Find a clear road..get up to 30.. apply light pedal pressure while letting go of the wheel for a split second ....does the wheel shake ?
never hurts taking it in for an inspecton

i think it might be something with the brakes too, and yes i feel it in the wheel, my seat, and the pedal. Its at the mechanics now tomorrow they are going to check the brakes out for me.
My truck does the same thing.....
Many people have told me its the rotors, im just gonna wait to turn the rotors and new brake pads and see if that solves it. i need to do it anyway

you need to read the shimmy thread if you have shake at highway speeds.
