Gun Vault Installed

Finally got around to mounting my Titan Gun Vault. Ended up putting it under the back seat. Seemed to be the best place for it. Not much room up front with the CB and satellite radio receiver installed.

If anyone is curious as to how it's mounted just shoot me a message. I'll share my thoughts and method.

I ordered it from http://www.titangunvault.com/ for $249.00. Come to think of it I don't know if there was a shipping charge. I'll have to go back to my receipt.

In any case I like it.

alexarizpe - I'm torn between my Kimber .45 ACP or the Berretta now that I have the vault. I usually only have my .380 (Walther PPK) on me but that is in for a recall right now. The good news is that I'm not restricted on size for my carry piece now. The vault will take almost anything.

I just checked my order...there was no shipping charge. Pretty darn good deal in my opinion.

I dealt with Matt from http://www.titangunvault.com/ and he's an all-round good guy. Two thumbs up for their crew.

That is a cool idea, but am I missing something? Do you keep your handgun in there while driving? If so seems kinda pointless to carry one. If you need it quick looks like you be S*** out of luck in the time it took to unlock and grab it to upholster.

I see two reasons to have one. I know some states require you to lock it in a case if you are transporting it. Also it is a great place to keep it if you have a concealed weapons permit but are going into a place that doesn't allow concealed weapons.

I do indeed carry it on me (yes, I have my CCW permit here in MI). This is for the times where I have to go into a building that I'm not allowed to carry, i.e. post office, any federal building, school, bar (actually I don't really go to bars), etc. I can just pop it open and stow it. I just wanted it for a little more piece of mind that my weapon is safe when it isn't on me. I shudder at the thought of having to take it off me for just a few minutes and finding out that it isn't where I left it. Just being responsible.

Looks good man! I would love to put one in, but I don't have room with my sub. I'll have to see if they have a center console box.

Looks good, I will be doing something like this in the near future to ease my worries when I can't carry it with me.
