ATTN: 2004-08 N/I RoushCharger Owners: K&N Filter Number Inside
I received a little bit of confusion over the phone regarding the part number for the tapered K&N filters on our Non-Intercooled Roushchargers. Part numbers don't cross reference too well.
Part number is: RU-3050
It fits like a glove and only costs $41-$47 online.
You might want to inspect your filter. Mine had pinholes at 46K miles and I don't even drive it off road.

any updates on this one? btw, I have the same K&N also and love it, I could not find a good deal on ebay so I found a discount coupon here: K&N RU-3050, or you can try one of the vendors on the forum here, you can usually find a good deal that way as well. This was very easy to install and I love it.
So far so good! Works like a champ. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing pinholes.
I think I know why the filters are wearing out fast. It's because the front of the air box is open to the front air dam and we're getting more road grime into the filter.
