bad miss

i have a 07 f150 supercab 4x4 with 5.4. runs fine but often when stopped such as at a traffic light or whatever, it misses really badly and sounds like that noise u have heard when a car runs backward after u cut it off. it just does it about 30 seconds and then it is fine. or u can just rev it up and its fine. anyone know what this is? someone told me it is water in my gas. it sounds really bad when it does it and the whole truck shakes. thanks

If you think you have water in gas or bad gas go to walmart and get some gas treatment. You can always check your injectors to see if one might be going bad. Free and easy trick is to take a long screw driver put the tip of it on top of injector and put your eat on the other end were handle is, the screw driver will let you hear the injectors , listen to all of them and see if they all sound the same. If one sounds different , might be bad .

I had a slight miss at idle and when I'd step on it pretty good, it would almost back fire. It ended up being 3 plugs and coils and an injector.

45000 miles. Ok, i have noticed that it only does it while parking or moving forward and backward a couple times. also if you stop on a hill. never in the level at a stop light or whatever.
