HID's In KC Daylighters
This morning I woke up and felt productive. So I drove to houston, purchased a cheaper pair of HID's in the same color temp (6000k), and went to work. I Had to cut the hole a little bigger in the back of the KC housing. But I just filled it with silicone to make up the difference. It is just a H3 bulb so they were easy to find. I had silverstars in there before and it just wasnt cutting it. They were drowned out by my 55w HIDs heads/fogs and they didnt match. Im EXTREMEMLY happy with the outcome. Looks great and preforms even better.
Its just a crappy pic from my phone. But you get the jist. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...90503-2320.jpg |

have you re-aimed your HID heads? it's a personal pet peeve of mine. alot of guys swap HID's into their heads, but they never aim 'em properly...and then I get blinded by them got any photos of the area lit up infront of the truck? |
Well done, I am getting ready to take dive into HID's myself.

Looks cool but is it a functional upgrade? I'd have to see better photos especially the long range before and after photos. I have my doubts that it works better than the factory bulbs for reach. Course I'm using the 130w bulb in mine and I can see several miles down the road at night. Well beyond what I can actually make out.

Tonight I took a drive down dark county roads, through some pastures, and went to visit the river. The HID's produce amazing amounts of lights now. They fill in the blank spot perfectly. They shine WAY down the road. Driving down the backroads with reflectors I could see road/reflectors for miles. On county roads between fogs/heads/KC's there wasnt anything I couldnt see.
