I wish I could say the same. Stupidest $10 I ever saved!

Eff One Fifty: I agree with you that just spraying the area on the truck would be a bad idea. Will look like crap, and not solve anything. But saying that it's no big deal to have to remove and repaint them is not true either. I'd rather not waste a weekend day messing with my truck just to fix a problem like this. Simply spraying them with Rustoleum will only lead to me having this problem again in another year or two. A paint finish is not durable enough for this component, as evident by the fact that the factory paint finish is completely gone.
