Let us know how ya make out. Mine is still squeak free after almost 2 months.(Not that I expect it to come back or anything)

 

For the record... the Window regulators in the truck (my 04 anyway) are NOT that good...

How do I know?

I had a squeak on the front right until... a loud POP happened, the window slid into the door, and I had to replace it...

I had an intermittent squeak on the right rear until... I started having an intermittent squeak on the left rear.

One day, my daughter rolled down the window and screamed when a loud POP happened. Again, window slid into door, replaced regulator assembly.

A few months later, the only squeaking window left was the left rear. Guess what? POP! Window in Door. Another regulator...


Now, I have 3 new regulators, and no squeaking! Now that I have posted this, I fully expect the metal cable to snap in the remaining regulator...



In reference to the lubricant post... did that as well. Started squeaking again for me about 3 months later... til they finally... POPped... It is a loud enough noise to make you think you ran over a volkswagen...

Try using RainX on the outside of your window. Makes em nice and slick.

 

You know I don't know if there is a recall on this, or it was just my warranty; but I went into the dealer last week for something else and mention something about this. They said that they didn't have the parts on hand, but they ordered me a new window crank.
If that doesn't fix it, then I think that I'm gonna try Jimmy's method.

 

i just tried the white lithum method and it didn't work for me on my rear drivers door. it helped a little but the squeeking is still there and is very noticable. i soaked down everything almost using a half can on just that one door and nothing dramatic really happened...any other ideas?

 

I would think the back would be the same/similar to the fronts. Are you sure you hit all of the wheels? the bottom ones were tucked away on my driver front.

I used silcone spray, totally drenched both wheels at the bottom, the cables, hell even the window stripping. This fixed my front two windows, but the back ones on my SCrew still screech, not as bad, but definitely still screech like hell when its warm/sunny out.

 

Mine only does it in the summer, I don't know what is wrong with it.

 

 

WD-40 dry lubricant is not regular WD-40.

I prefer this stuff called Poxylube CP-200.

 

No luck with silicone spray for me.Believe it or not.Cooking Spray was the answer.Lol. No Joke...
