Unhappy Airbag warning light

Well this morning I start the truck and head off after a minuted the airbag warning light in the dash started to blink. It done this for a minute or so then stayed on. I have't been in a wreck or hit anything with the front of the truck so I was surprised to have something go wrong with the airbag system. Truck has 47k on it any ideas why something would fail if it hasn't been in a wreck.

Possibly a sensor is bad.

Check the yellow plugs under the seats one of them may have been kicked loose. Be sure to disconnect the battery first then unplug and plug them back in. Is the light the one above the radio the one flashing? I know if that comes unplugged it illumates a light on the instrument cluster. I forget which though.

been raining in your area alot lately?...if so, you driven through any big puddles?

I'd try Impact's suggestion, the go looking on the frame at the inertia sensors. Maybe gotten wet. I've had that problem before with the wifes old vehicle

You'll have to plug in a scan tool to check for codes, if the instrument light is on steady then it likely set one.
