where is the location on the motor to inject seafom into the intake

Most people remove a vacuum line and suck the sea foam into the engine. Look for a vacuum line that is upstream of the throttle body if you can, that way it gets a good cleaning as well as the intake manifold and tops of the valves.

will it help clean the carbon off the plugs

on my past vehicles i just unplugged the hose from the pcv valve and stick it in the can and let it suck it in.didnt know if that was an option

Minorly. If your able to in a suitable area, instead of reving it out try to drive a little, speeds up the process of exhaling it, saves gasoline, and looks awesome running down the road, pre-tend its got 1,000 horsepower and you stomped the gas :cool:

I used the brake booster line. Go ahead and prepare yourself for a check engine light afterwards. Cured with a quick battery disconnect.

IMO it only helps if you are having hesitation issues. I used it only in that case.

It helped my overall fuel economy. Some around here will say it is snake oil, but I have used it in both my trucks and had great results both times.

Phew, I did the Sea Foam treatment on my '04 5.4-3v and after the waiting period, I drove it. It ran a little rough at first, and then seemed to clear its throat at one point and the check engine light came on. At the same time though it was smoother. I brought it home ater and disconnected the battery and the light stayed off after that. What code does anyone think gets thrown as a side effect of the sea foam? I didn't go get it scanned as I wanted to try the battery trick and see if it was temporary.

I can't remember exactly, but the O2 sensor throws a code for reading bad air or something of the sorts. Since you eventualy get good air running back through it, once it is reset with the battery disconnect you are good to go.

Like I said, don't take that as the gospel, it is just what I can remember.

The event that threw the code felt like the engine blew some snot out the tail pipe and then everything cleared up and ran smooth, but the light came on right then. Pretty sure you are right, as the light stayed off after I disconnected/reconnected the battery.

Any engine treatment/cleaner that requires the battery to be disconnected because it caused the PCM to set a code and turn on the CEL, isn't something that should be used. The engine can be kept clean by changing the oil and filter at the recommended intervals, using a good high quality fuel and replacing the fuel filter regularly.

This is all it takes to keep a modern engine clean.

would it be a good idea to return your chip to the stock setting first or it dont matter before doing this.

is seafoam that tough to use? I thought you just pour it in the tank.

also where can i find some? having a tough time finding it, even online searches.
