Looking to Buy 07/08 S-Crew 4x4

Hello - I am new here but am looking forward to being a member on this forum. I am looking to buy a used 07 or 08 supercrew Lariat 4x4 - maybe this one:

http://houston.backpage.com/AutosFor...Ad?oid=3485617

That specific truck's mileage is on around 20,000 - not 26,000 as it says. Their asking price is $26,988 - is that fair? What would you pay?

Also, is there anything I should look for when shopping for this model year truck? Are there any common problems that I should be aware of? There are also a few specific questions I have:

On a Lariat, are these things standard:

Rear a/c and radio controls
Rear air vents
heated seats
adjustable pedals
powerfolding mirrors
TPMS

Also, what kind of warranty came from the factory.

One more question - how are you guys going about lifting your front end to level out with the rear? What is the cost of doing so? That will be one of the first mods I do...

Are you in Texas? If you're willing to drive to Kansas there's an 06 black screw in the local paper with 36k for 15,500.

Alright - sounds like the price is too high. What about the other things - like what comes standard out of the list that I posted and what kind of factory warranty did these come with?

Is there anything about this model year that I should be aware of (problems?)

there is are 2 ways to level out the truck. 1. bilstein shocks or using a spacer.

as far as i know there is only vents that go to the back, no independent climate controls in the back. nor is there radio controls, not that i have seen anyways.

tpms became standard in all 07+ f150's, unfortunately

i think that you have to get a luxury package to get the heater leather seats and powerfolding mirrors. (not 100% sure on this)

power pedals were an option not standard.

bumper to bumper 3 yr / 36k, powertrain 5yr/60k

Here is an on-line 2008 Ford F-150 Brochure. This will show you want was standard and option by trim level.

As for your original question on the options you questioned as being standard -
Rear a/c and radio controls - no
Rear air vents - yes
heated seats - no
adjustable pedals - no
powerfolding mirrors - no
TPMS - yes

I would pay 25k, nothing really anything major that is wrong them, it comes with a 3yr/36k bumper-to-bumper and also powertrain is 5yr/60k, but I would buy an extened warranty make sure its Ford Premiumcare

Here is the truck's window sticker. It was over 40k MSRP, and was made 8/17/06. I would offer them 22k, and see if they are interested.

x2

My truck's MSRP was more than that and I'd be lucky to get $22k for it @ 25,8xx miles. Very nice looking, and you can't go wrong with an F-150

Maybe not, but the dealer will get $22k for your truck.

greencrew, they had that truck listed for 29,991, walked in with a check and said i want that truck, they gave me the run around and i told the guy either he can try to finance me all day for the 26000 out the door price, or he can eat 2 grand more and ill be outta there in 15 minutes my new truck and he can have a check that says not to exceed 24k, i actually felt that i got a fair deal, not to mention they paid off my chevy trade in! all that, and only financed 24 includding ttl.
