Question for guys with 35x12.5 rubber

What rims do you use?

What backspacing and offset do those rims have?

Got pics of it?

I've been researching rims for my truck. I love the OEM FX4 rims...but a 35/12.5/18 has about 1/4" of clearance from the upper control arm...I know it works, but it scares me.

I'd like about 1" of clearance between tire and upper ball joint. I'd also like to keep the tires where they don't overly stick outside the fender flares. 1" or so is cool, but anything more is kinda overkill to me.

does a combo exist like I'm after?

TIA

P.S. After an hour or so, I've got the biggest damn headache from looking at rims and listening to babies scream

leveled right now...but the lift will be coming along. 35's will be the biggest this truck ever sees

didn't think about that aspect...so yeah, I'd also need rims that will accomodate a lift kit as well

Which lift kit could change your mind also.
I plan on a lift kit some day down the road so I stuck with stock wheels for now.
With much less backspacing that stock (especially with wider wheels), you'll get rubbing with just a leveling kit. My tires barely clear the back of the fender and the back of the front bumper with stock wheels. Any more backspacing and they would hit the upper control arm, any less and they would rub the fenders.
I suppose with stock backspacing you might make an 8-8.5" wheel work, but the wheels won't work with some lift kits.

How far in the future do you see a lift kit?

about October...wife wants to fly home to Texas...I want to lift/rims/tires.

I'm cool with a little rubbing caused by too much backspacing. I'm handy with a saw, and have no fear of trimming stuff if need be

edit: this is almost exactly what I want. just about 1/2" more outside the fender flares and it would be perfect for what I'm after...I think the tires are only 33" tall though...but I love the stance and the rims are pretty cool as well

ive got 17x8.5 wheels with 5in of backspacing and 35s

the first month or so i had no rubbing and now for some reason it rubs in reverse and on some dips and bumps when the wheels are turned but nothing trimming cant fix (its been to cold to work outside)

they do stick out however. i went to bushwackers and fill almost all of the 2 extra inches:

Great info and pics that were posted. It really makes the truck look so much more aggressive.

i like the wheel/tire combo you just posted and think it would look great on your truck 33s and 4.10s may also be a fun combo on a supercharged truck. if i were you i would look at doing that and passing on the lift..

nah, I've got a ~6" wheel gap right now with my 32" oem rubber. 33" tires wouldn't cut it for me...and 4.56 gears are going to get installed if I do a gear swap.

I can already light up my tires easily for a good 20' + stretch with the 3.73 gears....but my tires hook up when it shifts to 2nd. I plan on fixing that problem. 4.10 gears might not be deep enough to correct it
