The short answer is no. Not for extended periods in "high water". Any depth above the bottom of your axle seals, will eventually get into the axle. If you're the kind of guy that would drain your axle fluid after every trip, that'd be ok. Now, if you're talking deep enough to get into the cab.....well, you'll have to spend some money to make your cab, engine, intake, etc...waterproof. If you don't care about the inside of the cab, then waterproofing your intake with a snorkel, buying/fabricating waterproof covers for your electrical components is not out of the question
How deep and how long are you talking about? |
Snokel :)
Be sure to raise axle vent tube, same for tranny to high area. YOMAN |

That level or slightly lower. Pictured is the exact scenario I would be in, on and off for hours at a time. Thank you guys. |
I love when the streets get flooded down here

so why are you going to be in water like that for long times?

Extend vent lines, add a snorkel, and prepare to change gear oil and repack wheel bearings after every trip.

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have a source for a Snorkel kit for the F-150? Found plenty for my Jeep, but nothing for my 2011 overland build. Thanks! |
It is possible...
