Dealer Stole my wiperblades

Here's the story

About 2 weeks ago I bought a brandnew set of 20" Bosch Icons for my truck which cost me almost 50 bucks with sales tax. This past Tuesday, when I was at the dealer buying out my lease, they had to do an inspection of my truck. I thought it was just a formality, you know where they just make sure the truck isn't trashed. Well, the inspection was a certification, they went over everything, changed the oil, etc. Part of the cert. that was done was to make sure there was new wiperblades on the truck, so they took off my new icons and tossed them into the trash and replaced them with those cheap rubber motorcrap blades.

When I discovered what they had done, I went right down there and raised hell. In the end, they told me to go buy another set and they will pay for them. So I went back to Vato Zone and bought a 21" set this time, and gave them back their motorcrap blades.

that's funny, but it's not. i don't like people touching my truck with me not there. they should have seen they were brand new, unless some funny guy took them home with them.....only at a ford dealer

Wonder why they would want to inspect your truck if your buying it out? Strange but whatever. Glad they did the right thing with your blades.

Some mechanics assistant checking things off the list he was given....did he steal your oil and filter too? Good news is you now have a Ford Certified used vehicle and whatever guarantees that go with it.

They told me they had to inspect it to make sure it was in good enough condition to make it certified, because I was basically buying a certified used truck. I was just lucky enough to know the previous owner.

That term, Certified Used cracks me up. never understood why it had to be Certified that it was used, all you have to do is look at it.

Well, if they did a CPO inspection (for whatever reason), the inspection calls for changing the oil/filter, air filter and wiper blades by default.

But of course, it was the dealer, they ain't nothing but a bunch of f'kin' crooks anyways. Some dude just really wanted some Bosch wiper blades for his vehicle.

The certified inspections those things are required. The guy gets used to just dumping the blades most of the time they are not looked at. Not defending the guy and not saying he didn't take them home either.

I don't know what they did with them, nor do I care. I was just pissed be cause I just bought them and now they were gone. If I would have known they were going to change the blades, I would have waited before I bought them.

Also, when I went down there to chew them out, I took the original receipt with me to show them. I wasn't trying to get something for nothing, just what was rightfully mine.

If they had been on the truck for like 6 months or so, I would have been like oh well, but they were only a week and a half old.

Right is wrong, do what you document and document what you. Prove it and that was what I was told when I work for Ford, thanks for the buyout Uncle Henry!

That sucks man, glad to hear they are taking care of you though

My ford dealer wont even touch stuff on my truck without asking me first. I usually try and only go when the tech I have been using since I bought the truck is there. I think he is the only one that has been there a while, the rest come and go like car salesmen
