rubbery squeek noise from back of cab area

I have an extended cabb 05 and, when its cold I hear a weird squeek noise coming from the back cab area. I have a manual sliding rear window. Maybe the back window making noise?

mine does the exact same thing, but i have a reg cab. Ive had people put pressure on my doors, back wall, windows, including the sliding one, and i cant figure out what it is. The only thing i havent checked is my tire jack for tightness.

The squeak may be coming from the leaf spring area. Mine on occasion will squeak and I can hear it in the cab. I have confirmed it comes from the leaf sring bolts by pushing on the rear bumper and reproducing the noise outside. Ive noticed the noise goes away after a car wash or rain????

Mine is a rattle, that goes away when it gets above freezing (ice between bed and cab) lol.
I try keeping my tonneau as clean of snow as possible, but some always manages to work
it's way in.

I had this issue to along with the rattle and mine is the headliner. I don't know exactly how I am going to fix it yet but that is where mine is coming from. If you put pressure on the dome light it stops it so I am guessing it came loose somehow.

Oh oh I know! Ok this might be what it is for you guys but, just sayin.
So after I wrecked my truck the first time, as i was driving down the road i'd keep hearing this dang squeek. Constantly. At first I thought maybe it was the shocks. Bent and the shop didnt replace them. So I looked at them. They were fine, wasn't the leafs rubbing or anything. Ok long story short, it ended up being my tail gate. I greased the latches and the latch pegs, and I never heard the squeek again. Well, until the grease wore off. So give that a shot boys.

I had that squeek when i first got my truck. Went under the truck and looked for something wrong. I found something with a rubber thing in the middle attach to nothing. 4 bolts where holding that thing there.

Took it off and no more squeek after. That thing weighted close to 40 lbs.

I was driving along in, I think December, after an ice storm had left about 1.5' of ice & snow on the tonneau. Most was gone, but not up front. Anyway, I am hearing this god awful noise that sounded like my roof was grinding away or something. I assumed something in the roof had come loose and was about to fall or something. It just kept getting worse as I tried to get home and check it out. It got to the point I was about to pull off the road before some unknown catastrophe happened. Turned out to be ice between the cover and the cab. Damned ice keeps getting down between the bed and cab even though I try now to keep any buildup off the cover. Noise is annoying and any passenger just thinks my new truck is falling apart

my 04 reg cab was doing the same thing.... after talking to ford over and over they narrowed it down to the seal around the rear window - they actually replaced my rear window.... it worked for about 3 months then started again. I got some spray silicone and sprayed it between the seal and the truck on top of the window and it goes away for a few months then it will start again - and I spray it and its just a continuous process.... hope this helps

Did they replace your window out of warranty. I will give the silicone a try...

I have a mysterious and annoying squeak as well. I am thinking it is my tailgate though or possibly my leaf springs. Thought it was my rear window at first also but then getting out of my truck one day I saw a regular cab drive by and I heard the same noise even though it had no window.

Good luck finding your Squeak
