Unhappy Help to diagnose my F150 2004 5.4 3V. Desesperate!

Hi Folks! I'm tired to send my truck to the dealer and a very good reputation independent shop.

The truck don't acelerate as good as it can be able to do it. Just some 2 weeks ago my truck works like a champ but for only a week after the shop changed the sparks plugs, all the coils, fuel filter, fuel pump and cleaning inyectors and the MAF sensor.

In the last 40 days I has been spending more than US$1500 in parts / labor and my truck is working better but not as it could be.

The problem as today is:

The truck don't acelerate to it's full potential when i press the pedat lo the floor (WOT), my truck downshift but the acceleration is very very low. I can reach more then 80mph but it takes forever to reach it.

Also a few times after WOT the check engine (CES) start to flash and the truck looses a lot of power until the CES keeps steady light or goes off.

The last time the computer was scaned show a cyl 2 missfire and misfire under 1000RPM (that light turn on driving under 20mph around the block.

Last time my truck works great was 2 weeks ago after i chang the fuel pump it works literaly as brand new no kidding even after 130,000 miles. I was very happy but it only last working so great about 5 days after a short 300 miles round trip from Monterry N.L. to McAllen Tx.

Yesterday during a short trip of about 300 miles i did a lot of WOT and only fail once with a srudder (another anyoning symphton) and turn on teh CES for a minute or two and then turn off.

Actually i have a manomenter conected after the fuel pump in order to monitor the fuel pressure and it is always about 38PSI at 50MPH and when i WOT the dial goes up to 42 PSI and then back to 38PSI

I really apreciate any informed input i can get, this is not an easy problem because i has been very involved and also one of the mechanics of the shop and we still have no long term satisfactory results.

Thanks and sorry for the large post.

Sounds like one of the Coil packs is either Defective or not hooked up right.

Is there a "Miss" in the Engine when it's not running right??

Sounds like a COP to me, I would have them look over the cyl 2 COP or the injector

Thanks for yopur responce. I'll insist to my mechanic about double check the COILS By the way, the truck start to malfunction after 4 hour off road trip, maybe a loose conection in the coops is the problem but i already tell it that to the mechanic i'll double check with the mechanic if te conectios are already revised.

What do you refer in your statment "Is there a "Miss" in the Engine when it's not running right??"

Thanks!
