Quick question

My truck has been back firing when I rev the engine after I start it no other time. Does anybody have any idea?

Sounds odd for stock. Mine does it, but I have a free flowing exhaust. Is the motor cold when it happens?

I'm from south Texas the coldest it gets is in the 60's. I have only reved the engine only a couple of times after I have already been driving the truck. The engine never completely cold. I have been told it might be an ingector.

yea give me a call saturday

I personally wouldnt rev an engine until it at a bare minimum starts reading off the bottom of the coolant temp gauge, and if possible wait until its up into the normal range.

I heard that these trucks do that until they reach their operating temp since the computer is letting it run a little rich to warm it up, but I may be wrong, just something I read
