Another question why i am at it...

How bad would 295/70/17 nitto terra graplers on a 6" lift? Should i just wait to install lift till i need new rubber? Just got the nittos like 4 - 6 months ago.

Driveline should not be an issue at all. Most of the driveline issues come with 8" plus of lift, you could always check the yoke just for good measure though. You are pretty much safe frome needing driveline modification with a 6" lift though

Sure did man, pics are up in my thread.

Chaos-- You could always sell your wheels/tires in the classifieds on here, or you could try locally. I had good luck selling my wheels/tires on here recently though.

When i talked to les schwab, they said it would cost an extra $180 to have driveline extended and balanced... they said 6" lift requires that.

No one else has been required to have this done?

Far from true with the Fabtech lift. You MUST have the driveshaft re-clocked/have the slipyokes aligned, and grind down the master key. I'f you dont do this, you run a huge risk of damaging the driveshaft in 4x4.

A member of this site (kickassfx4) had the Fabtech 6" and i believe he didn't re-clock his driveshaft, and while at Pismo on the dunes the driveshaft completely shattered and broke in half.

Some trucks may need to have it re-balanced also, some don't. Mine didn't. Without re-balancing, you may experience vibrations at 40-50mph+ in 4x4.

Going to school at Davis, so that's where I'm at...not too far from Sac.

Our family ranch is in the Burney basin, near Old Station (a couple miles down the road from where the 44 meets the 89). About 1.5 hours from Susanville.

Does this apply to 4WDs only?

good ol Old Station... stop there everytime we head to Redding or Yreka. Good for a bathroom break and that is about all. Real nice country though. Always wanted to camp at hat creek. Lets hope we get some snow and get those Burney falls dumping again.

So when you drive from Old Station to Burney, on hwy 89 about 2 miles past the RV park you will drive through alfalfa fields on both sides right after passing a red motel. Thats our place.

Definitely some of the prettiest country in the state. You should stop by the campgrounds along Hat Creek next time...excellent trout fishing.

Yeah only 4x4s, seeing as this all involves a front driveshaft.
