black, I actually just got my OEM Harley Davidson tail lights in the other day and dropped them in. It made the rear look 10x better. It's barely any darker side by side but on the truck it really sets it off. I'm waiting on my completely smoked third brake light to come in to really finish off the rear and then I'll get some more pictures. I'm also planning on doing the grille surround in black and also trying to pick up an H-bar grille and paint-to-matching it also...along with adding a black Westin bull bar and a few PIAA fogs. Those few things will top off the front end and then the only thing left to do will be a bed extender and tonneau cover and she'll be "done" (for now, haha).

Socalrunner, the rear is stock height. The front is a Skyjacker 2.5" leveling kit. Everything else on the suspension is stock. The wheels are ATX Thugs with black teflon coating (5.47" backspacing I think but not 100% sure on that, 0mm offset I know for sure) and the tires are 275/65/18 Firestone Destination ATs (32"). I did the leveling kit before I did the wheels and tires and it didn't really look that great but I put the wheels and tires on a few days later when they came in and it really set it all off. The ride is good and if the speedo is off it's not noticable, and they still look the part, so I'm pretty happy with the whole setup.

troberts, care to tell the difference? I'm examined both back to back. FX4 lights are gray, HDs are black housings, everything else is identical, these are black housings...hence the HD replica line. I honestly don't care one way or the other, I just wanted black housing headlights, but if you've got some distinguishing facts between the two I'd like to know so I'm not telling misinformation.

these are the fx2/4 lamps

these are the harleys

you dont care because you did not see the two side by side in person...the harleys look 10x's better if not more...

the fx2/4's have a chrome reflector over the headlamp bulb, the harleys are headlamp reflector is black. the housing itself is also black not dark gray. the harleys are shiney like the paint on the vehicle not dull and flat like door handle pulls or bumper steps on the fx2/4 lamps

Where did you get the white face gauge set? Those look awesome, and I bet a lot cheaper then swapping out for a FX4 or Lariat style haha.
The whole truck looks awesome!

ever since buckles took a pic of his truck towing that big train, pics of trucks in front of trains have been the most popular on the site.

truck looks good, now you just need a black surround on your grille

Gotcha troberts, in that case I'm actually glad they're not exact Harley replicas because even though my truck is black I wouldn't want them to be gloss black. I like the contrast the flat black gives (it is black though, not dark gray, so I guess they're a blend between FX4/HD lights). I also prefer the chrome bulb cap over the black of the HD...blends better. The black cap sticks out too much IMO.

06yz, I'll have to try to dig up those pictures. I love looking at other people's pictures of their cars/trucks. I'm used to cars so finding locations for trucks is a little different. I've got a much better train spot I'll be taking pictures at when the truck is 100% done, but this works for now.

05supercrew, the coating on the bumpers has a kevlar epoxy additive which has UV blocking properties. UV rays are what fade LINE-X and the kevlar additive keeps that from happening.

buckeyes, I got it from stylintruck.com or stylintrucks.com one of the two. It's a US Speedo Daytona overlay. I actually have a FX4 cluster too but it has 35k miles on it and my truck only has 19k miles on it, so I did this for now to tide me over until the mileage matches up then I'm going to swap out to the FX4 cluster. The gauge overlays were $100, the FX4 cluster was $150, so not that much more, but like I said I'm matching up the mileage. If I had to have it reprogrammed it would cost more obviously. I may actually end up getting white faced overlays for the FX4 gauge cluster too...doubt it but we'll see.

DARK KNIGHT, the owner of the local LINE-X place is a very close friend of the family so I got the hook-up, but he said he'd do a set of bumpers for $400 and that's with the kevlar additive (which for comparison's sake is a $150 extra for adding it to the bed).

Keeping my eyes open for a black Westin bull bar too. May also have a line on a H-bar grille that I'll be having painted-to-match along with the chrome grille surround so the whole front will be blacked out for the most part. The Westin bull bar with a few PIAA lights and paint matched H-bar grille will make the front end completely.

Completely smoked third brake light should be in any day now.

Last big thing externally will be Bushwacker flares and that'll be it pretty much.
