Well, when my wife and I were expecting, I traded my '04 4dr Lariat for a 4 dr Tacoma.....biggest mistake of my life. I immediately regretted the trade and finally after a year later, I traded it for my '06 Lariat and haven't looked back. I put the carseat in the middle of the backseat with PLENTY of room left, plus I could reach over my shoulder to check on my little girl. She's over two years old now, and has been in her booster seat for a while, so the carseat is still there, but nothing like it was when she was in her carrier. BTW, get two carseats if you can. We bit the bullett and bought two so we wouldn't be swapping back and forth or buy an extra base with one carrier. Congrats on your soon to be addition.....

Same thing happened to my brother in law. He had a decked out 250 and got rid of it for a Tacoma. He hated it; way too small. Lasted one year and was gone. Lucky SOB broke even though which is pretty much unheard of.
