Dealership install
Yes, most do but charge you ridiculous markup unless you do your homework first and negotiate hard as part of the deal. But the good thing is that most will include your upgrades under warranty.
Had my oil changed for free this week at my dealer and the service manager told me the same thing. He said that the aftermarket shop at the dealer will put lifts and other aftermarket items on, but he said that they are not covered by the warranty. Some of the things come with a manufacturer warranty, but the dealer doesnt cover any of it according to him. And if the aftermarket item causes something non-aftermarket to fail, then they will not cover it under warranty.
I'm sure leveling kits and everything like that will void parts of the warrenty. I asked several when I did the lift on my truck and got differnt answers...some said it will void your powertrain and suspension and what not. Others said it will only void 4x4 componets, and other items put in stress not including the engine, but including the tranny. So it's really hard to tell what would be covered because everyone tries to give you a differnt answer.
That's right if you add stuff yourself. I was referring to when you buy aftermarket through their offerings (Ford or the shops they use)....the dealer will cover it...I know, had a few things done by the dealer when I purchased some of my trucks, and if anything went wrong they would fix.
Well, then it must vary with dealers and how much they are into selling aftermarket packages. It is interesting because I got such deals with the warranty from Jeep, Chevy, and Ford dealers here. I guess you better ask to be sure (and get it in writing as part of the contract).

Sounds like it varies by the dealer. Like I said I spoke with the dealer this week and he stated that even if it is installed at their shop, if it causes something stock to fail, then they will not fix it. He said that they only cover the truck the way it is as it came off the assembly line.
They even sell brand new trucks with lifts installed.
This is my dealer in Arlington, TX speaking.
