Arrow 2004 supercrew, ATV fittment????'s

I am looking at buying a 04 or newer f-150 and also a banshee four wheeler. I want to make sure that the quad will fit in the box of my new truck. I was looking at supercrew fx4's which have 5.5" beds and the Ex cab fx4's which have a 6.5" box. Does anyone have experience putting a sport quad in the back of these trucks? I would like to fit it in with the gate up. I am concerned that the supercrew won't be enough room to fit a quad. I am leaning towards the ex cab anyway. Will there be fit problems with the ex cab? Might be more liable to buy a super crew if a quad will fit though. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Mike

I dont know the specs on your specific bike, by my Yamaha Grizzly 400 4x4 fits into the bed of my supercab/6.5' box WITH the tailgate up. There's like 1" to spare, its a perfect fit, so the quad cant move or bounce around...i dont even need to strap it down.

Ok thats cool. Then the banshee should fit in a ex cab. I like the look better of the ex cabs. The screws are nice but in my eyes they look like a big explorer sport trax. My opinion. Thanks again.

I have a Banshee and it does fit with the tail gate closed with about 8" in the front to spare with the 6.5' box. With the 5.5 you will not be able to close the tail gate. The only place the the fit is tight for me is at the tailgate. My Banshee is 49" wide and the tailgate opening on a flareside is only like 50.5" so it can get alittle tight loading it.

I can fit my Suzuki Z400 in my 5.5' bed with the tail gate up, IF I take the front bumper off. Otherwise no.

Only on 2006 and later I believe... I just bought a leftover 2008 Supercrew with the 6.5... I was looking specifically for the longer bed in the crew... you might be able to find a used one or a good deal on a new 6.5 crew.

How do you close the tailgate with your Z400 loaded in the back of your truck? I have a KFX400 with stock tire's and my 5.5' bed is about a half inch to short to close my tailgate with the quad loaded. Also my front bumper is stock so it doesn't cause any problem's either.

My bed is 5.5 and I have a Raptor 700. My gate will not close but that's why I bought the bed extender. If I put my Raptor 250 in there the gate will close with no problem.

The trick is to lift the rear end of the quad up about a foot and have someone shut the tail gate on it. Then with the tail gate up you set it down and it will sit in the bed. Easy as that. Fits super tight.

First thought is... why do you want a Banshee? Unless you are looking for some major engine project, there are a few quads out there that are quicker, more reliable, and more comfortable than a Banshee. They don't make them anymore for a reason.

x2. You will need a 6.5' bed to make it work. Banshee is 73" long. Raptor is 72.6".

Please excuse this semi hijack of this thread but if any of you ATV guys need ramps I"ve got a great set for sale in the classifieds (see ATV/Golf cart ramps thread) and I 'll consider possible trades. Too heavy and bulky to ship but if you're anywhere close to the Ark/LA/Tex let's talk.

Thanks, and again, apologies!
