Hey there guys, 05 FX4 way to high in the rear end compared to the front im trying to decide on a 2" or 2.5" leveling kit for the front i DO NOT want the front higher then the rear and i seen a guy with the same truck that did a 3" in the front and it looked hidious, one other question how hard are they to install and will it make my truck ride any diffrent? My FX4 rides soooo stiff as it is i couldent take anymore buck board! lol thanks guys!

 

Go with the 2" I'd say. Heres an FX4 with a 2" and it looks perfectly level to me.

That blue FX4 is a 2004-2006 too because it's got the rectangle foglights, so that should be the same as your truck.

 

I put the 2.5 AS on my truck. The ride is the same as stock, I noticed no difference. I put it on in about 2 1/2 hours by myself, theres a thread on here that goes step by step installation with pics. About the truck sitting level heres a pic decide for yourself.

 

06-08 has round fogs. 04-05 have rectangular.

the 04-05's had 1 more leaf in the rear i believe than the 06-08, dad and sister have 2 1/2" on their 06 and 08 there about perfectly level, maybe a very little nose high but they look level most the time i look at em

 

My black 05 fx4 is in my gallery. You can check it out if you want. Its a 2.5" daystar. It sat level.

 

I installed auto spring 1.5" and am happy with it.

I put a 2.5" AS on my truck and the rear is still higher by about .5 to .75". Not sure why some people end up nose high but I guess my bed was never used by the previous owner. I could not be happier with the new look of the truck too.
