The Roush suspension is truly amazing. I don't know how this would ride stock but I can tell you I've never had troubles in the mountain twisties.

I compare it to 90's Mustang handling. Pretty darned impressive for a 5200# truck.

After i just removed the blocks this weekend, the shop told me that the previous owner had added an extra rear leaf spring. They tell me that the truck is rated for more than a half ton now. Maybe thats why it was 9 1/2" in the rear (tire to well) So yes it di still dropped the 1.5" from removing the blocks. I'm heading to a custom truck shop tomorrow, they want to have a look at it and decide which way to go. I wrote all your information down on how and what you did to get the stance of your truck. I am also going to print of a picture of your truck to show him what i'm trying to have it look like when all is done. Much appreciate your efforts to helping me out. I'd take some pictures of my truck(exactly like yours but black), but the snow and the filth of the salt and sand wouldn't do it justice. I'll post pictures as soon as it's all done. Fingers crossed

By removing that block and replacing your stock 4x4 u-bolts with the shorter 2wd u-bolts will get the rear down some, to where it is almost level with the front at stock height. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...07&catalogid=2 The front on 4x4's sits 1" higher than 2wd's because of where the spring perch is located on the shock body itself. Just by replacing the 4x4 shocks with 2wd ones will lower the front 1", and you can raise a 2wd by 1" by installing 4x4 shocks.

Just about all parts and kits to lower a 150 will work on both 2wd and 4x4.
For the rear there is lowering springs that will give 2 or 3", drop shackles for up to 2" and flip kits for up to 5". You can combine parts for a custom drop of your choice. For the front there is 2" and 3" drop springs, lowering shocks for +1" to -2" on 2wd and 0" to -3" on 4x4's (what I used) and the DJM L.C.A.'s for either 2.5" or 3.5". Parts in the front can be combined for more drop if you like. If you plan on more than 2" in the front, I suggest you also get an alignment kit so you get your camber back into spec. When I first put on my lowering shocks, I went for a 3" drop and my front wheels were tipped in too much for my liking.

Of course you could always just bag it, then you can have whatever amount you want.

If you want the same stance I have, this what I did.

Remove rear lift blocks and install 2wd u-bolts for a 1.5" drop
Install drop shackles for another 1.5" drop
Install drop shocks with 2 rings on for a 1" drop in the front

You could also just install 2wd front shocks and get the same result.

I'm looking to do the same to my 06 Lariat 4x4 - just want to get the butt out of the air and give it a more level stance. I'd planned to remove the blocks and change the U-bolts based on other advice received here. You'd suggest also using the 2" drop shackles?

And what if I did that but did not mess with the front. Would that 1" difference have any impact on anything???

Here is a pic of mine with just the rear block removed, the front is still at stock height. No need for 2" drop shackles unless you want to go lower.
