34" on factory 20's..

I am getting a set of 275/65/20 on factory 20's. (Equal to about a 34 inch tall tire) I am not running a leveling kit right now. I know it has been discussed, but has anyone tried it? Will they work with out rubbing?

Who makes the smalles leveling kit? Some trucks I have seen look almost to high in the front after lifting. The wife already thinks the truck is to high, so I want to stay away from a level kit or go with the least rasie possible.

Thanks

those are not gonna fit stock, i'd go with a minimum of a 2 inch leveling kit.

I would agree with ATOM. I don't think that they will fit on a stock truck without doing alot of trimming. I would suggest a 2" kit also. Auto Spring makes kits in 3 sizes, 1.5"-2"-2.5" But if your wife already thinks that the truck is too high why are you going with a 34" tire? Especially when it will more than likely require a leveling kit. You are going to be raise the front of the truck about 3" (2" of kit and 1" of tire).

better get some steps and start lying...lol

I have been debating the whole leveling kit thing since I bought my 06 new. I installed a 2" kit not too long ago to prepare my truck for some 305/55/20's.

There is NO way they would fit without the 2" kit. These tires are 33.4" high.

I had to have a leveling kit to fit 305/65/18 BFG's. They are approx. 34" tall and looked great with the leveling kit.

So, there is no way huh... How much bigger is this tire than than the stock 20" tires.. They cant be that much bigger... I just never imagined the factory 20's were that tight..

Oh well, might as well do the Bilstiens sine I need shocks to..

The factory Pirellis are 31.9", so effectively a 32" tire. My 305/55/20's are 1.5" higher, but mounted only raise the vehicle 3/4" (due to the centerline of the rim).

Here is a link,CLICK HERE to the Auto Spring leveling kit, they come in 3 different sizes-1.5", 2" and 2.5". The Auto Spring is probably the most popular leveling kit on this site, it is what I also have on my truck. With 2" or 2.5" you can fit 35' tires on the stock wheels and 33" on aftermarket. Here are a couple of pics of my truck before and after the 2.5" kit with the stock wheels and tires.
