I went to sylvania's web sight and it showed h1 and 9145, the bulb i ordered was philips crystal vision ultra wich did not show a 9145 only a 9005. The seller said it would be a direct fit and 15 more watts for more light. Do I need to worry about the wiring harness melting?

It is a 9145, but a 9005 will be fine. The foglight HID I have is a 9005.

hmm, mine are h10....

9145 is h10, h1 will not fit on the 04-05. 9005 didnt fit for me either....

i sell HID for a living, h10s are what you need.

Yeah I didn't find out H10 was what you needed until after mine were in the mail. They still work fine though.

Hello Bambo2888, I see you're an expert on HID. I've read about the fake "xenon-gas-filled" HID wanna-be's. But I wonder if some are really brighter (like Recon or PIAA) ??? I need to replace my 9145/H10 Silverstars (4000K) in my New Body 2004 SCab. Since I have a large rectangular housing, what would you think would be the brightest white bulb I could put in there without melting the lens, housing or wiring? Can I safely exceed 42W ?

Thanks for your time!
