Applying Patriot Inlays

Just got a set of Inlays from Patriot Decals for my F150 Badges.
Can anyone here who has applied them give me any insight as to applying them? I get the basic idea based on the instructions that came with, but they don't mention anything more than lining up with clear backer then removing backer. What is the best method for burnishing them on before attempting to remove backer...? Just press hard...? Basically looking for any tips on applying.
Thanks!
Steve

Personally.. I cut each of the letters out and put them in 1 by 1.. lol

Maybe it was just me, but the letters didn't line up exactly, so I had to resort to this method.. worked out fine for me, just took about 10 minutes per emblem..

They actually say to do that. Cut out and do one letter at a time. Did you just press down hard with your fingers?... or use anything hard to rub on...? Should I do this in warmer weather?

ahh.. yea, I just pressed down with my finger.. if you have any air bubbles, try to work them out best you can, but they generally go away on their own in a couple days.. I don't think the weather will affect it much..

Are you guys removing the existing black ink in the badges before applying the Patriot decals? If so, what are you using to remove it?

I'm assuming applying the decal over the existing ink would eventually lead to failure, as this ink is infamous for releasing from the badge....???

Think hes talkin about "inlays" not "overlays". Dont spray windex on to emblems for your inlays.. Overlays only.. The inlays are just a vynil stickers...

Inlays are the "stickers" the lay in where it says F150 5.4 XLT Triton or whatever it says on the side and rear badges. I did mine one at a time and turned out fantastic. Goin on one year and they look perfect since the first day. Some with the emblem overlays.

HUH..you applied the "inlays" with windex? I dont think your suppose to do that. Thought they were just vynil stickers and the "overlays" had an adhesive to wet and activate "and to set in place". I put mine on dry prob 2 years ago and they still look great. Now im adding them to my 09 emblems also..

I put the ones on my tailgate this AM. Arizona Beige Inlays - Truck is Stone(Main)/Arizona Beige(Secondary). Overall I love them! But I have to say, they do not fit perfectly. Slightly off. Most noticeable in the curve area on the '5'. I am extremely **** about things being perfect! That being said, most people would never notice, and I love the look of them... Thanks Patriot...!
Pics to come when I get the others on...

nope they are both vynl stickers the windex allows you to move the sticker on the emblem, then just rub the windex out and let it dry

If this is true, how would you even get the vinyl to stick with the Windex underneath?... and what do you mean by rubbing the windex out? The instructions supplied by Patriot do not mention Windex for the inlays...
