a question - Powder Paint and Bumpers

i want to get my bumpers the same color as my truck. i went to the powder coat shop today and she said she wont be able to match my color exactly but pretty close. but for the grey color it will be $400. then she told me some people have got their bumpers painted black. it is a satin black and she can do them for $250. do you guys think black would look awful or what should i do. the dealer neither does the body shop paint my bumper because it is chrome.

heres a pic of my truck

The way I always look at these types of situations is that if you settle for something that you didn't really want originally then you won't be satisfied with them. You just gotta ask yourself how you want the truck to look and if you want it powder coated then find a shop that can match it.

You could do black bumpers and then paint the lower part of the doors to match it!

That seems really high...I was quoted $150 to PC my new front bumper black. Shop around for other companies that do powdercoating.

That is WAY overpriced. I got both my bumpers powder coated for $200....same shop powder coated my wheels. Its called the Shine Shop here in Las Vegas. Not sure where you're located but I'm pretty sure the shop here can match any color. They do great work, as you can see, I've used them a few times.
BTW-is that the price they gave you if they have to remove the bumpers?? Maybe it's high cause they're charging you labor, just remove them yourself and drop them off.
