New Three wheel F150 model

Just did a 3 wheel conversion on my 2004 XLT 4x4 SCREW, didnt work out so well.....

I very greatful that every one walked away including my son who took the brunt of the impact in the rear drivers side door.

However very bummed about the out come. I'm sure its totalled and I will take it in the pants on the payout. It was imaculate, low miles, brand new Bridstone Revos(less than 400 miles!). Bummed about the mods, driving lights, reverse lights, keyless entry pad, bedliner, bull ring tie downs, homelink, bed extender, fender flares, mud flaps, and few other mods that I will lose also. Sucks that the insurance wont cover those kind of things.

Dude that hit me was in an 04 F250 KR. His drivers side front blew out. I saw the blow out happen and tried to get out of his way, just not enough time. I did avoid the head on, very thankful for that. It spun us around and into the ditch. Managed to keep it going straight in reverse and to get out of the ditch and back into to roadway with out flipping. Also glad that the drive shaft didn't catch on any thing and flip us.

I am not so mad at the guy that hit me. Not much he could do after the blow out. It was not his truck he was visiting and borrowed from a freind. I am mad at the owner ot the other truck. $55K truck running around on worn out tires(probably under inflated) and it totaled two trucks.

Guys please take care of your tires!!! It drives me nuts to see accidents happen like this that could have been avoided with just a little preventative maintenance. I will go cheap on leather and stuff like that, but not when it comes down to the tires my family is riding on.

Now I'm torn between getting a good deal on a closeout '08 or waiting for the new '09s.

My new three wheel model F150.

Point of impact and debree field

What hit me.

His crappy worn out tire that blew that caused the whole thing. BF Goodrich Rugged Trails. The other three were down to the wear bars. You can see that one exploded.

Wow I am glad everyone walked away from that fairly unscathed. Your truck took one heck of a hit.

Sorry for your loss, thank goodness everyone is alright. I looked at your gallery, seems like quite an impact. Copy and paste the BB code into the post to get the pics to show.

Yup its a Tundra. That is my brother we were folowing him to the lake for the day. He did not get into the wreck just came back to help with the kids and all. We go round and round on the F150/Tundra. I will be getting another F150. Nuff said.

wow, and people give me crap about driving 2 6,000 lb gas guzzlers. It's stories like yours that showcase why I have 2 vehicles that are 5 start safety rated.

Glad to hear that everybody is fine. A damn shame about your truck. But the precious part, your cargo is safe, and that is what truly matters

I suggest you wait on a 09 model if possible. The 08's are identical to your 04. Might as well maximize the most you can out of this accident IMO. Besides, you can pull all of your little mods off and slap them onto the new truck

Quite the wreck, glad everyone came out of it OK. Stuff like this just pisses me off because it's totally preventable. If that F250 would have been properly maintained by keeping a set of good tires on it, and he would have known how to handle a blowout none of that would have happened.
