A/C blower motor kaput?

Last weekend I had a kidney removed to fill up the truck...and when I got back in, the blower for the A/C wasnt working. I moved the fan speed **** back and forth, turned the A/C on and off. I even killed the truck, waited, and then started it again. Still nothing.

So then I roll down the windows for a 1 1/2 hour ride in 100+ heat and it comes on a mile down the road.

Fast forward to today, same thing happened, but twice.

So is the motor going out? Thats what I thought but after some searching it seems there might be a relay in question but I couldnt find an answer as to which one it might be.

I'd rather replace a relay and not need it that buy a $300 + motor.

What do ya'll think?:o

Sorry I can't help with diagnosing the problem, but I do know that a new blower motor doesn't cost $300. I replaced mine about a year ago (the motor was making a "screeching" noise). I paid $78 (full retail) at my local Ford dealer, but it's also available from Tasca for $38.74. Takes about 15 minutes to replace. And contrary to popular belief, it does NOT require removing any part of the dash or blower box.
